I am a licensed clinical social worker with six years of post-graduate experience in the behavioral health field. I received my bacehlorís degree from Lock Haven University of PA, and masterís degree from Rutgerís University. I belong to the National Association of Social workers and am in good standing
I am competent to provide individual, family, and group counseling, and I utilize a strength-based and motivational interviewing approach to help others identify and pursue their goals. My special interests include substance use disorders, eating disorders, young adult issues, health and wellness, mindfulness and other holistic practices, and alternative therapies (art, music, movement). With the assistance of our clinical supervisor, we have created a wellness curriculum to include in our relapse prevention groups as part of our IOP program.
The resident health and fitness buff (soccer, Crossfit, weightlifting, running, yoga). Currently I am enrolled in a circus school for Lyra, an aerial apparatus that helps me reconnect with my love of swinging and climbing! Itís important for me to address all areas of wellness and bring this approach into my work. I also enjoy cooking, being outdoors, sunshine, playing the keyboard and singing (even though Iím not the best!), and reading fantasy novels.
